Ken's journey in the wine industry began in Lexington, Kentucky, where his passion for fine wines grew while working as a waiter. After studying enology and viticulture at UC-Davis and gaining experience at several vineyards in California, he founded Panther Creek Cellars and later Ken Wright Cellars in Oregon, focusing on vineyard-designate bottling. Ken has significantly contributed to the wine industry and local community, receiving numerous awards and recognition, including a feature on the cover of Wine Spectator for his achievements in Oregon Pinot Noir.
This Pinot Noir boasts focused red and blue fruits, with lively acidity and soft tannins supporting its compelling structure. Aromas of Rainier cherry, lavender, leather, and cedar chest drawer complement flavors of cassis, orange pith, smoky Lapsang souchong tea, mulberries, dark raspberries, cola, cloves, and anise, ending with fine-grained tannins and lingering dark spiciness.
