Excellent expression of Pinot Noir grown along California’s Central coast where cool morning clouds and Pacific Ocean breezes help moderate the ripening of the grapes. Plenty of red berry fruit and black cherries (wine is aged in 30% new French oak for 12 months which gives it a silkier texture/mouth feel), a little wet earth and menthol. Medium acidity and medium-light body. Made by the winemaker who made the highly regarded Pinot Noir at Sea Smoke Vineyards. This is a crowd pleaser for quality and price.
