La Morra is one of the most famous communes of Barolo. Even though the region is the largest in the AOC and features several rock stars of the field, it has some quirks - namely, the wines tend towards a softer tone (which means they are quite a bit more drinkable in their youth). This bottle leads off with fresh cherry and roses, then into dark red fruits, strawberries and plums. Soft fresh acidity combined with soft fresh tannins makes this an easy one to drink now (or to reward a little cellaring if you fancy).
